Write the Vision

How often some great ideal comes to mind only to be lost.  Write the Vision.  I hear this quite often.  This statement comes as the person had a great idea in their heads only.  Now they try to recall and can’t remember the details. Write the Vision.

Write the VisionHabakkuk 2:2  says, “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.”  Today I want to encourage you about your dreams, your ideas, your deep thoughts,  and your vision.  I truly believe that God places desires in our heart to help us succeed and excel beyond measures.

The problem is we fail to act on these dreams; and, when we do pursue, we fail to stick with it because we don’t see immediate results . Don’t worry, you are not alone in this area.  We all have delayed our blessing because of lack of responses.  From this day forward, let’s wipe the slate clean and start over. Write the Vision

How To Write The Vision

In the past when great idea came to my mind, I was usually laying in bed with no pencil or paper to be found.  Instead of getting up, I say to myself, I will remember later.  What happens?  I forget!  Then a light bulb went off in my head Write the vision. To avoid these mishaps repeatedly in the home, I decided to I keep pen and paper on my nightstand and major areas I frequent, such as the bathroom, kitchen, basement, and kids room near me.  Yes, I tend to sit with my son or daughter and watch their favorite TV show with them. Outside the home, started carrying a journal.  It’s the size where I can place it in my purse or coat/jacket/shirt pocket.  Now, when an idea come to mind or someone says something that triggers an idea, I Write the Vision.

Following are a few things I keep in mind when I writing an ideal down. Revelation 1:19 says, Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later.

  1. Determine the “what” – What  is your purpose?  What are trying to accomplish? Is it pertaining to your current status, someone else’s status, or a future endeavor? What should you make of what’s happening?
  2. Determine the “when” – When should I see results? Is this vision a short-term action or a long-term goal?  Will your results be immediate and will they start to gradually show?
  3. Determine the “how” – How will you implement your idea?  Will you need assistances from others or will the work you do suffice?
  4. Determine the “why” – Why should you do it?  Why is this idea coming to you at this time.
  5. Determine the “where” – Where is this idea suppose to take place?
  6. Determine the “expected outcome” – Will these place you in a position where you are able to help others?  Will it help you both financially and spiritually?  Will it open doors to the unforeseen? Write the Vision.

Usually when the vision/idea comes to mind, it is a thought.  It will only be a few words that say “do this.”  The suggestions above is to help you decipher what you need to do next.  As Habakkuk 2:2 say, “make it plain”  so when you or anyone else reads it, you know what to do.  Putting it down on paper confirms and reminds you that there’s a job to be done.  I tend to do this when I am writing my blogs.  Whenever, a title or discussion comes to mind, I write it down or try to type  the title with a few suggested statements.  Sometimes I don’t visit it until days later and then I start my discussion.  Had I not written anything down, I will still be wondering what I should be doing.  Write the Vision.
