How To Stay On The Correct Path

Hold up, wait on minute!  What path are you on in your networking, mlm, or affiliate business. Do you know that the same path does not work for everyone.  It is up to you to do due diligence to ensure you know how to stay on the correct path in your business.

Often times we are derailed because so many “next best thing” is placed in front us.  We follow behind it with our tails wagging behind (metaphorically speaking).

I don’t know about you but when I start looking at the “next best thing,” my thinking become discombobulated. It takes me totally off the my path; therefore, pushing me further behind.

How To Stay On The Correct Path

I hate when I do that because now I’ve fallen behind my timeline. You see, I have plans.  I created  a timeline that placed in a certain position by a particular time.

Yes, I know everything doesn’t go as plan; however, it does give you a since of direction.

So, here is my challenge to you today.  Continue to focus on learning how to stay on the correct path.

What is the correct path?

First thing first, I don’t want you to make a big deal about this.  As I said before, not everyone take the same path to reach their business goals.

Think about it, if everyone was right direction, why are there so many products teaching you “how to” – you feel in the blank?

So lets discuss what is the correct path.  Here are a few things to think about.

  • In order to realize you are on the correct path, you have to have a goal.  You goals need to be specific.  For example, by this time I would like to be….I would like to have “this” accomplished.  When I think about goals, I am reminded of Philippians 3:12-14 “12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.n, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”  You see I know I can’t do anything without God.
  • After you’ve set your goal, now it is time to put a plan in place.  Your plan is what you should be doing to reach your goal.  Remember, not everyone is doing the same thing.  Here is a part of my plan that incorporates my doing something daily.  Monday through Friday (at least 3 of those days) I will write a blog.  In addition to my blog, I will do a video relating to my blog.  This is a simple plan, correct?  So many people make excuses not to follow it.  Don’t let that be you, learn how to stay on the correct path. These are two of the things I do daily because like you, I am trying to reach my goal.
  • Develop tunnel vision. I live in the DMV area (Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia).  There are lots of tunnel. In Baltimore, there is a tunnel over a mile long.  In this particular tunnel, there are two lanes going one way.  Before you enter, there is a warning sign that says “not” switch lanes. So for a while my focus is on getting out of the tunnel safely.  When I see the light ahead I breathe a sigh of relief.  This is how you should be when you are on the correct path to your goal.  Having tunnel vision until you see the light at the end of the tunnel.

These are a few recommendations.  I truly believe you should examine what you are doing and decide if you are on the correct path.  Do it now before you get to far along and have to take a detour.  Your time is valuable, use it wisely.
