Focus on the Present

“Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.” Albert Einstein. Yesterday is gone, forget about.  Tomorrow is not promise, don’t stress about it. Today is here, live it and make it beautifyl.  Focus On The Present.

Focus on the presentWhat are you doing now to expand your business?

The good thing about the present is it’s always here.  You will always have the “now” to make it happen.  Matthew 6:34 (NIV) says, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” So let’s focus on the present.

If you are like me, you have a daily busy schedule.  You have to set aside a certain time to cook, clean, help kids with homework, be a loving wife, work full-time, attend outside meetings, church, family time, and work your business. Focus on the present.

Because I only have an allotted time to work my business, I have to make it work when I can make it work.  To focus on the present, this is what I do to work my business 5-days a week  in the allotted time including doing all of the above.  Focus on the present.

My Weekly Routine

On Sunday while the kids are taking their naps.   I write out my daily plans for my weekly blog articles. This usually takes about two hours, sometimes less.

  • Identified the subject/topic I want to focus on. For example, this week I am focusing on Einstein’s 10 life lessons.  I created a blog page for each lesson and tied his recommendations to my home business.  Because my focus in my home business is to motivate those who are struggle and need some inspiration, these lessons are great example of how we should be thinking. Focus on the present.
  • Review related keywords. I spend about 15 minutes using the adword google keyword planner  searching for keywords related to my topic.  As recommended in my training, I focus on low keyword searches.  When searching on those low count keywords, guess what’s going to come up at the top of the google searches – My blog page. Focus on the present.
  • Create 5 or more subject headlines. My goal is to always write at least 5 blog articles a week.  I will admit, I don’t achieve the 5 every time but it gives me something to write about in future blogs. If I create more than 5 subject headlines, I carry them over to the next week.  For example, this week is about Einstein’s 10 life lessons.  Already, I have 10 days worth of blog articles only because I took advantage of my present situation. Focus on the present.

When you take advantage of your present and scope out a real plan you only secure your future situation. “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have.  Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.” Eckhart Tolle  Focus on the present.
