We are living in a world where people are reliant on the internet for information. If you’re someone who owns a business, getting your message out to an interested client has been made a lot easier. Using the internet to get potential clients to come to you, rather than the other way around, is what attraction marketing is all about. Even better, you don’t have to spend a fortune in advertising your products or services.

While it’s understandable to be skeptical about the process, you only need to take a look at brand influencers on social media to understand that it does wonders for business. There is hard work involved in running a successful internet marketing campaign, but the elements are simple:

Let customers find you on the internet

You have to make sure that you can be found so customers can come to you. How do you make that happen? Make use of all the available platforms on the internet, including:

  • setting up a website or blog – it’s important for this space to be more than a sales venue; it provides information that is of value and can actually be used by customers.
  • using various social media platforms – there are many sites out there but you will only need about two or three to run an effective campaign. Which platforms you choose depends on the nature of your business. For example, you can use a combination of Facebook for information sharing and communication, Instagram for visual branding, and YouTube for videos.

As mentioned, communication is important. You can’t just be on several social media platforms and expect people to immediately buy your products. You have to be committed to building a network, and the easiest way to do this is to interact with your followers.

Get customers to allow you to contact them

No one likes unsolicited emails. If so, how then do you get customers to agree to you sending them mail about products and services? There’s a long answer to this but the short of it is this: give them a reason to want to hear from you.

If that sounded rather vague, think about it this way: give them a taste of what to expect and maybe they will want to know more. For example, if your site offers a lot of advice, why not offer to deliver that information in a newsletter? Doing so means having people sign up with their name and email address so you can directly send them information they need.

Give customers the information they need

A potential customer giving you their contact details is a sign of trust, and you have to hold your end of the deal. It may be daunting but developing a plan early on can help you craft an email that isn’t sales-y in nature but can lead to earning a profit.

The internet has made is easier for customers to find you, but you also have to do your part. It involves hard work and dedication, but with the right measures in place, there’s no reason why your efforts won’t pay off.
